Youth Voices Community recognizes that lasting change begins within communities. Our empowerment work focuses on equipping refugees — particularly youth and women — with the confidence, skills, and networks needed to rebuild their lives with dignity. In late 2025, we implemented a business and entrepreneurship training program, culminating in the distribution of 32 sewing machines to participants, enabling them to translate their newly acquired skills into sustainable livelihoods. Through such initiatives, community support structures, and evidence-informed programming, we create spaces where refugees are seen as active contributors rather than passive beneficiaries — investing in people so they can invest in themselves, their families, and their communities.
