During our recent activities at the Initiative and Advocacy for Orphans Development (IAOD) revealed important we had seen insights and effective strategies to inform future efforts:

The Power of Community Engagement: Involving parents, educators, and community leaders proved vital. Their active participation in meetings, workshops, and the formation of schoolworking groups contributed to a nurturing environment for children. This collaborative approach increased accountability and encouraged shared responsibility.

Comprehensive Support Yields Better Results: Addressing both educational and emotional needs made a notable difference. Integrating Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) sessions and providing emotional support to parents boosted children’s confidence and improved their behavior.

Creative SEL activities, such as vision boards and poetry, helped children build emotional strength and express themselves.

Customized Support for At-Risk Children: Successfully re-enrolling 73 children who had dropped out demonstrated the value of targeted assistance. Personalized interventions helped these vulnerable children return to school, highlighting the need for inclusive educational practices.

Ongoing Engagement Ensures Impact: The steady involvement of more than 250 children in daily programs showed the importance of consistent participation. Maintaining regular engagement from both children and the community is essential for achieving lasting results.
