Lessons learned and best practices emerging from this project.
Governance and programme support funding reduces the burden of multiple role playing, segregation of duties, support supervision and improves board functions such as board meetings. Previously, It was so had to facilitate board meetings due to lack of resources to bring them together, most of the existing project donors are hesitant to pay support staff like Executive Director, HR, Log & Procurement, MEAL and programmes Lead making such essential functions to be played by project implementers hence no segregation of duties and very minimal support supervision. With this funding, we were able to facilitate some of the positions especially Executive Director, MEAL and programmes Lead including board meetings.
