We are implementing an after school Make it Play program to enhance community children's education with activities that foster their problem-solving skills, nurturing innovation, and unlocking their creativity through woodworking. This initiative comprises implementing projects such as Make It Play It and Make It Race it.

We started these intervention in the year 2020, reaching a cumulative number of 200 learners in 2022. The program grabbed the interest of the community members causing a hirer number of children interested to enroll to the program. In 2023, we received a grant from Cohere, that supported us with a construction of one more classroom, procurement of learning materials, improving our power system, and installed a water tank. These improvements helped with the ability to serve 256 more learners and empowering 50 community parents. The grant worked as a life changing opportunity to these learners following the impact it has made to most of them and the success story shared by one of the learners here.

KVC has successfully expanded its reach and served a total of 256 children in the past year. This significant increase in beneficiaries showcases KVC's commitment to providing education and skills training to a growing number of young learners.

Through our various programs and initiatives, children at KVC have been able to develop and utilize practical skills. They have gained proficiency in woodworking, technological tools, and other relevant equipment, enabling them to create toys, games, and other useful objects.

Recognizing the importance of parental engagement, KVC has continued to prioritize the transfer of skills and knowledge to parents. Through workshops and training sessions, 50 parents have been empowered with the necessary skills to build stronger relationships within their families.

KVC has remained dedicated to providing the necessary learning materials and tools to support the educational journey of the children. KVC has created an environment conducive to learning and growth.

KVC has embraced a holistic approach by not only focusing on the children's education but also involving parents and caregivers in the learning process. By transferring skills to parents and promoting family engagement, KVC has recognized the significance of a supportive and nurturing environment in the educational journey of children.

The project has highlighted the importance of hands-on learning experiences. By providing children with the opportunity to actively engage with woodworking tools and technological equipment, KVC has fostered practical skills development, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. This experiential learning approach has proven to be highly effective in enhancing the children's educational growth.

KVC has successfully collaborated with the Kakuma refugee camp community, creating a supportive network for the project's implementation. By involving community members.

KVC has been able to maximize the impact of its activities, reaching a greater number of beneficiaries.

Monitoring and Evaluation: KVC has recognized the significance of continuous monitoring and evaluation of its project. Regular assessments of the program's effectiveness, impact, and challenges have allowed KVC to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments. This commitment to monitoring and evaluation has ensured the project's ongoing success and its ability to meet the evolving needs of the community.
