Comfort Centre for Child Advocacy, Response, and Empowerment is a non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing the rights, safety, and well-being of women and children. Since its inception, the organization has focused on preventing all forms of violence and building protective systems that safeguard vulnerable individuals especially children from exploitation and abuse. Central to its approach is the integration of Gender Equality, Equity, and Social Inclusion (GEESI) principles, ensuring that all interventions are inclusive, rights-based, and responsive to the unique needs of marginalized and underserved populations.Vision: A world where every child is safe and empowered to reach their full potential.Mission: Comfort Centre is committed to advocating for and amplifying the voices of women and children while creating protective systems that ensure their rights, safety, and dignity are preserved. Goals and ObjectivesTo prevent all forms of violence, particularly sexual abuse, against women and children through education, advocacy, and community engagement initiatives. To Championing the rights of vulnerable individuals, especially children, by promoting policies and practices that shield them from exploitation and abuse. Providing women and children with access to education, resources, and support systems that enable them to build resilience, achieve their potential, and secure a better future. To raise public awareness on the dangers of violence, abuse, and exploitation, while fostering a culture of protection, accountability, and community responsibility. To advocate for children’s rights, ensuring their safety, healthy development, and overall well-being across all aspects of life. To Collaborate with government agencies, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders to strengthen child protection systems and reduce the prevalence of violence and abuse. Comfort Centre extends targeted support to children in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps through community-based projects, including nutrition sensitization and support activities for mothers and children. Its interventions also reach schools, marketplaces, and other community spaces, ensuring broad-based impact. As part of its programming, the organization provides essential academic materials and books to improve access to education and support children’s learning and development despite challenging circumstances. Through a GEESI lens, these interventions prioritize equal access, participation, and protection for girls, boys, and other vulnerable groups, addressing barriers related to gender, disability, and social exclusion.Through these strategic efforts, Comfort Centre continues to create meaningful impact by transforming communities into safer spaces where women and children are protected, empowered, and given the opportunity to flourish.
