Agir pour l’Environnement works mainly in environmental protection, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods in Burundi. One of our recent projects supports vulnerable rural communities through climate-smart agriculture and environmental restoration. We trained households, especially women and youth, on sustainable farming practices, tree planting, and soil conservation to improve food security while protecting natural resources. The project also promoted income-generating green activities such as small-scale vegetable production and community nurseries. Through this initiative, families strengthened their resilience to climate-related challenges, increased their incomes, and became more engaged in protecting their local environment for long-term sustainable development.
