Community in Action (CIA-I) Kenya implemented a girls’ dignity and empowerment project in Dadaab refugee camp aimed at supporting vulnerable school girls through the distribution of personal hygiene kits and awareness sessions. The project provided essential personal items, including sanitary pads and hygiene materials, to help girls manage their health with dignity and confidence. In addition, guidance sessions on personal hygiene, education, and self-esteem were conducted to encourage school attendance and reduce challenges faced by adolescent girls. The initiative promoted the well-being, protection, and empowerment of girls, helping create a supportive learning environment within the refugee and host community schools.
