Peace Building Cohesion & Integration

Community in Action (CIA-I) Kenya implemented a peacebuilding and social cohesion project in Dadaab refugee camp that brought together refugee and host community youth through sports, awareness campaigns, and community dialogue. The project focused on promoting peaceful coexistence, preventing drug abuse, and strengthening unity among young people from different backgrounds. Through football matches, discussions on peace, and anti-drug awareness activities, participants gained knowledge on conflict prevention, respect, and teamwork. The initiative also encouraged youth leadership and community participation, helping reduce tensions and creating a safer, more inclusive environment for both refugees and host communities.
