Education for Youth Empowerment (EYE) Uganda implemented the Peace Building, Cohesion & Integration: Harmony in Diversity Project to promote peaceful coexistence among refugee and host communities. The project facilitated dialogue sessions, conflict resolution trainings, and cultural exchange activities to strengthen understanding and trust. Youth and community leaders were trained as peace ambassadors to lead local initiatives. Schools and community spaces were supported with peace education and inclusive activities encouraging respect for diversity. The project integrated FRRM at FDPs and supported shelter construction and renovation of community structures to improve safe gathering and learning environments. Community forums and joint events fostered collaboration and reduced tensions. As a result, relationships improved, conflicts decreased, and sustainable peace mechanisms were strengthened.
