In Kakuma Refugee Camp, we led a community-based education and empowerment initiative through the Initiative for Quality Education in the margins. We launched remedial classes for displaced youth and children, bridging academic gaps and preparing learners for national exams. We coordinated youth mentorship and trained them on the available opportunities to promote inclusion and employability. Our gender empowerment sessions fostered leadership among women, while entrepreneurship workshops built financial resilience. This holistic approach strengthened community cohesion, restored hope, and empowered marginalized groups with the skills and confidence to thrive beyond emergencies.
