We implemented an environmental conservation project through Inspire for Change CBO in partnership with refugee schools in Kakuma Refugee Camp. The project focused on establishing and supporting school based Green Clubs to promote environmental awareness among students and the community [tree planning]. We trained the community members on sustainable waste management practices, including reducing, reusing, and recycling waste, as well as proper sanitation and environmental cleanliness. The project also encouraged tree planting activities to improve the local environment and address the impacts of climate change. Through these trainings and activities, students developed leadership skills and became environmental ambassadors, spreading knowledge to their peers, families, and the wider community.
