Lamuka Innovation Center's SkillsHE Program focuses on empowering teen mothers and single mothers in the Nakivale Refugee Settlement. This initiative provides vocational training in areas such as tailoring, soap-making, and hairdressing, equipping participants with marketable skills to enhance their economic independence. Alongside technical training, the program offers mentorship and life skills development, building confidence and self-esteem. By creating opportunities for self-employment and financial stability, SkillsHE addresses gender-specific challenges, promotes women's empowerment, and helps participants support their families. The program aims to uplift vulnerable groups, fostering resilience and sustainable livelihoods within the community.
