Childrens Education

PDRI initiated the ECDE activity in 2022. We have been facilitating after class sessions under a three and have been engaging 50 children of which the age is between 4 and 8 years old. After one year we have been recruiting other children for the same program. As we don’t have permanent funds, we have been calling for international volunteers to support this program in terms of capacity building and logistics means. The 50 students have been being divided into 2 groups of 25 children each. Each group has been learning 3 days per week and the ECDE classes have been running from Monday to Saturday. As achievements: PDRI staff especially those working with ECDE have benefited several trainings from our international volunteers that enabled them to conduct ECDE sessions professionally, our International volunteers provided necessary materials for the ECDE activity, PDRI managed to conduct several meetings with the parents of the children to make sure that they also contribute for the education of their children, finally, we are happy that one of our international volunteers has fundraised for the construction of an ECDE classroom that will be available when the class will resume in this January 2025. For more information, you may navigate our social media to be aware of what we are doing on the field related to ECDE activity..
