PDRI initiated the ICT program in 2019. We have been conducting this activity grace PDRI members’ contributions. We started it with 3 up to 5 computers in 2023 and we were teaching only computer basics that includes the following packages: Introduction to computer, Windows, Keyboarding, MS word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Publisher. 2024 has been the year of blessings for PDRI as we received a grant from Vanderbilt University based in USA that allowed PDRI to introduce a new ICT curriculum and improve the training infrastructure, including the construction of a new computer lab and the purchase of training materials and furniture. Aryan, a scholar of the Vanderbilt University arrived in Kakuma to introduce the new curriculum that include the following packages: Desktop Publishing, Artificial Intelligence, Prompt Engineering, Google Suite, Podcasting, Web Design, Photography, Video Editing and Project Management. Currently we are implementing ICT basics and ICT advance. For more information, please navigate our social media to know what we are doing on the field.
