PDRI initiated the ICT program in 2019. We have been conducting this activity grace PDRI members’ contributions. We started it with 3 up to 5 computers in 2023 and we were teaching only computer basics that includes the following packages: Introduction to computer, Windows, Keyboarding, MS word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Publisher. 2024 has been the year of blessings for PDRI as we received a grant from Vanderbilt University based in USA that allowed PDRI to introduce a new ICT curriculum and improve the training infrastructure, including the construction of a new computer lab and the purchase of training materials and furniture. Aryan, a scholar of the Vanderbilt University arrived in Kakuma to introduce the new curriculum that include the following packages: Desktop Publishing, Artificial Intelligence, Prompt Engineering, Google Suite, Podcasting, Web Design, Photography, Video Editing and Project Management.
