Under our department of Peacebuilding, PDRI is implementing a project called "Peace Centre". The Peace Centre is a structure managed by Community Leaders. A part from Community Leaders from nationalities composing Kakuma refugee camp and Kalobeyei settlement, the project includes all leaders from social groups such as women, youth and religious leaders. Our focus is that we equip all leaders and PDRI staffs with skills and knowledge enabling them to work professionally by calling international volunteers to facilitate trainings related to Peacebuilding, mediation and conflict resolution. We use to put into practice the acquired knowledge and skills on the field by conducting mediation activities between communities in conflict also disseminating peace message by organizing awareness campaigns to schools as well as in our communities and using sport as a tool in order to create more spaces where youth can meet and create friendships that might contribute for social cohesion and peaceful cohabitation. As achievement, PDRI developed Community Leaders Platform, Peacebuilding and Conflict Mediation activities were conducted with positive impacts, Capacity Building for Community Leaders including Youth were conducted, Engagement of the community to strengthen our efforts by including other groups, especially women, youth and religious leaders in peacebuilding activities .
