We are implementing the LEAD Project (Leading Enterprise Advancement & Development for Refugee and Host Youth), a self-funded initiative supported mainly through social enterprise profits and volunteerism, with very limited technical, in kind, and financial resource support from Global Youth Mobilization, CEFORD, and ELECU. The project focuses on agriculture, entrepreneurship, enterprise development, and job creation in refugee and host communities. To date, 25 vocational graduates have launched micro-enterprises, and 10 community groups (20–30 members each) are engaged in climate-smart agriculture, savings and loans, and group enterprise ventures. Over 255 youth and women are receiving entrepreneurship and financial literacy training, while more than 500 community members are being reached through education, inclusion, and awareness activities. The project is anchored by a community-based soap-making social enterprise that also serves as a practical training hub.
