The Rwamwanja Refugee-Led Organizations Network (RRLON) is an independent, nonpartisan, and nonprofit organization founded in 2020 by eight leaders of refugee-led organizations (RLOs) in the Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement. The network was established to unite these organizations, combining their strengths and resources to address the challenges faced by refugees more effectively. RRLON focuses on capacity building, resource sharing, and working collaboratively to develop sustainable solutions for refugees. Since its inception, the network has grown from 8 to over 32 refugee-led organizations by 2024. In the past three years, RRLON has made significant strides in improving the lives of refugees in the settlement. This includes: • Providing housing and sanitation solutions for the most vulnerable populations. • Training over 2,346 refugees, including youth and women, in skills that promote self-reliance and independence from external aid. • Positively impacting more than 20,468 people in the settlement. • Supported District in difference celebration • Jointly Supported refugee international related events since 2020 up this year 2024 RRLON partners with organizations such as District, UNHCR, OPM, Alight, COHERE, ELECU, CARE INTERNATIONAL and Tomorrow Vijana to support capacity-building initiatives and secure grants. Notably, six refugee-led organizations within the network have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
