One of our impactful projects in community building and empowerment was the Sustainable Life Skills Development Training, aimed at equipping refugee youth and women with vocational skills to enhance self-reliance. In 2023, The Refugee Voice trained over 100 youth and women in tailoring, hairdressing, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship within Bidibidi Refugee Settlement. The project was funded through membership contributions and support from partners, enabling us to provide training materials and mentorship. Impact: ? Increased economic opportunities – Many trainees started their own businesses or secured jobs. ? Strengthened community networks – Participants formed self-help groups for continued support. ? Empowered refugee voices – Through digital storytelling, some trainees used their skills to share their experiences online
