TRAID implemented a Community Empowerment and Livelihood Training project on henna design for 31 Sudanese refugee women. The project aimed to equip participants with practical, income-generating skills that could be used immediately within their communities. Women received hands-on training in basic and advanced henna design techniques, hygiene practices, and simple pricing skills. Many participants were heads of households with limited livelihood opportunities. Beyond skills building, the project created a supportive space where women shared experiences and built confidence. The initiative helped promote self-reliance, restore dignity, and strengthen household resilience through creative and culturally relevant livelihoods.
