The Community Empowerment and Social Cohesion Project (CESCOP) is a UFRED-led initiative designed to strengthen peaceful coexistence, resilience, and self-reliance among refugees and host community members in Sardauna LGA, Taraba State. Implemented through the Refugee Empowerment and Resource Centre (RERC) Gembu, the project promotes inclusive community development by combining livelihoods support, skills development, community dialogue, youth and women’s empowerment, and local leadership strengthening. The project aligns with UNHCR protection and solutions priorities and contributes directly to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 1, 5, 8, 10, 11, and 16).
