Financial Literacy

The Smart Finance, Strong Cooperatives (SFSC) project aims to strengthen the financial literacy, governance, and economic resilience of RECE Multiple Cooperative Society, a refugee-led cooperative operating under UFRED in Sardauna LGA, Taraba State. Implemented through the Refugee Empowerment and Resource Centre (RERC) Gembu, the project will build members’ capacity in savings, budgeting, record-keeping, cooperative management, and access to financial services. The initiative supports refugees and host community members, particularly women and youth to make informed financial decisions, strengthen cooperative sustainability, and improve household economic security, in line with UNHCR self-reliance priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 1, 8, 10, and 17).
