Climate Change Awareness and Environmental Sustainability Program Youth Up Foundation (YUF) implements Climate Change Awareness and Good Environmental Practices project aimed at strengthening environmental sustainability among refugee and host communities. The initiative empowers communities to take an active role in protecting their environment while building resilience to climate-related challenges. Key components of the project include: • Community Sensitization: Engaging youth, single mothers, and local leaders through awareness sessions on climate change, its impacts, and practical mitigation and adaptation strategies. • Tree Planting Campaigns: Promoting reforestation and afforestation efforts to address deforestation, restore ecosystems, and improve air quality. • Waste Management Training: Building community capacity in proper waste disposal, recycling, and upcycling to reduce environmental pollution and promote cleaner communities. • Renewable Energy Advocacy: Raising awareness on the use of solar energy and energy-efficient technologies to reduce dependence on non-renewable energy sources. Through this project, YUF contributes to building environmentally conscious communities that are better equipped to respond to climate challenges.
