Livelihood and Food Security Program Food insecurity and limited income opportunities continue to affect many refugee and host community families. YUF addresses these challenges through community-based livelihood and agricultural initiatives that improve nutrition and household income. Family Urban Farming YUF supports families to engage in urban and peri-urban farming by providing seeds, fertilizers, and garden tools. This intervention enhances food production in urban settings and improves household nutrition. Community Farming on Hired Land YUF hires land for collective farming activities. After harvest: 80% of produce is shared among beneficiary families to improve food security 20% supports YUF’s sustainability and future program activities This innovative model promotes collective responsibility, dignity, and sustainability while reducing reliance on humanitarian aid. Now with the funds from IKEA Foundation through COHERE, YUF has been able purchase its own on acre of land to serve more families. We are really greatful for this achievement as we transit from land hiring to land owning. Computer Skills Training YUF provides basic computer and digital literacy training to youth and adults.
