About us

The Initiative for Nurturing Vulnerable & Empowerment for Resilience(INVER) is a Refugee-led and oriented Community Based Organization(CBO) established in 2018 by refugees Youths to aid in supporting Refugees. INVER seeks to promote the resilience and psycho-social well-being of refugees in Kakuma refugee camp, Turkana County, Kenya, through programs focusing on enterprise development, Adult/children literacy, sexual and reproductive health, sports and social cohesion.

Our Community and beneficiaries

Initiative for Nurturing Vulnerable & Empowerment for Resilience(INVER) works to bridge the societal gaps that exist among Refugees community in Kakuma Refugee Camp. Our beneficiaries are Children, Youths, Women and Person with Disability within the camp set-up from different nationality backgrounds; Sudan, South Sudan, Somali, Congo, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda and Burundi. So far we have reached over 4000 beneficiaries since the year 2018 when we had initiated our programs in Kakuma Refugee Camp.
