Proud to join Norwegian Refugee Council (#NRC), TPO Uganda, and RECORD in Ntenungi Zone for a pre-activity engagement ahead of International Menstrual Hygiene Day.
The activity created a vital platform to raise awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), while promoting dignity, inclusion, and menstrual health for adolescent girls and women in the camp.
With continued partnership and donor support, we can help create safe spaces free from stigma, improve access to menstrual hygiene information and services, and empower women and girls to live healthy and confident lives.
Last week, we engaged with the Tujiunge VSLA Group in Buguta Zone to share entrepreneurship skills focused on loan management and business growth. This initiative is part of our commitment to strengthening women’s resilience through economic empowerment.
We sincerely thank GBWBF for the funding support and Cohere for the valuable partnership that continues to create impact in our communities.
Monday 24th, our Wake Alpha Elimu Team launched an intensive 16 Days of Activism mobilisation campaign under the project “Empowering Communities to End GBV and Stigma in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement,” funded by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
We reached communities across the entire settlement, raising awareness and advocating for the rights and safety of women and girls.
We invite you to join hands with us in the fight against gender-based violence.
Your support can help us reach thousands of refugees and create safer, stronger communities.
