About Humanitarian actions for Refugee communities development

HARD Uganda is a youth- and women-led, refugee-founded nonprofit established in 2020, operating in Rhino Camp and Imvepi Refugee Settlements in Terego District. It empowers vulnerable communities especially women, youth, and persons with disabilities—through rights-based, sustainable services. Its vision is to build empowered communities that promote self-reliance, equality, and peaceful coexistence. The mission is to involve and include marginalized individuals in building resilience and independence. Thematic areas include education, vocational training, gender equality, disability inclusion, mental health, climate change, livelihoods, anti-corruption, and human rights advocacy. Activities include adult literacy, digital and vocational skills training, GBV prevention, leadership development, agroforestry, civic education, and formation of Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) to boost economic empowerment and support inclusive community development.
