In 2024, the AEJT -RDC implemented the project "Green Women, Living Lands" in Fizi and Uvira, targeting 120 refugee and displaced women. This project consisted in training the beneficiaries in agroecology, reforestation, composting and restoration of degraded land. Community nurseries have been installed, and more than 10,000 plants distributed to reforest critical areas. In parallel, savings and investment groups have been created to support their income -generating activities. The project allowed women to strengthen their food security, improve their income and become environmental protection actresses in their communities
