The 9-month project aimed to build a center and create a safe and inclusive space for 100 refugee children (boys and Girls) between 6 and 15 years old by providing a rich array of fun activities to support their mental health and psychosocial well-being as well as increase school enrolment and overcome language barriers. The project’s target beneficiaries were from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Rwanda, Somalia, and Ethiopia. These children are mostly from new arrivals and asylum seeker families stricken by poverty and orphans and street children to enroll them in school and engage in sports and play to support their mental health and psychosocial well-being.
