Pro-Right for Refugees implemented a community-based peace-building project in Kalobeyei Settlement aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence among refugees and the host community. The project focused on dialogue, conflict prevention, and inclusion of vulnerable groups, especially persons with disabilities, women, and youth. Through community forums, awareness sessions, and mediation activities, the project addressed sources of tension such as resource sharing, discrimination, and misinformation. Local peace champions and volunteers were trained to promote non-violent conflict resolution and early warning mechanisms. The initiative strengthened social cohesion, reduced community tensions, and fostered mutual understanding, tolerance, and respect among diverse groups within the settlement.
