RAF implemented a livelihoods project to strengthen economic resilience among refugee households in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement. The project supported farmers through the provision of vegetable seedlings and training in kitchen gardening, enabling 86 participants to establish gardens and improve food production. In addition, RAF formed five Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA), reaching 150 women with financial literacy, savings skills, and access to small loans. Participants invested in income-generating activities such as small livestock rearing and craft-making. As a result, households improved access to food, increased income, strengthened savings habits, and enhanced their overall resilience and self-reliance.
