Projects We Have Implemented: Music for Social Change: This project uses the transformative power of music to engage children and youth, promoting peace, social cohesion, and psychosocial well-being. Through music workshops, performances, and community events, participants have the opportunity to express themselves, share their stories, and connect with others. The project also helps to raise awareness about critical issues like child rights, gender equality, and non-violence. TeamUp Program: TeamUp is a structured movement-based psychosocial support program designed to help children and youth cope with stress and trauma. Implemented between 2020 and 2023, this program creates safe spaces for children to engage in physical activities, games, and group exercises that foster emotional regulation, teamwork, and resilience. It has reached hundreds of children, providing them with tools to better manage their emotions and build positive relationships. Digital Skills Training for Youth Empowerment: To bridge the digital divide and open new opportunities for young people, we provide digital skills training focused on coding, computer literacy, and internet safety. This training targets both young women and men, equipping them with skills needed for the job market and for starting their own tech-based initiatives. Many graduates from our training have gone on to secure jobs, internships, and even start their own businesses. Inclusive Education Initiatives: We have worked to enhance access to quality education by training teachers on inclusive practices and supporting schools with essential learning materials. This project aims to create an environment where all children, including those with disabilities and those most vulnerable, can learn and thrive. We collaborate closely with local education authorities to strengthen child protection policies and ensure a safe learning environment. Income-Generating Activities and Entrepreneurship Support: We support youth and women in developing sustainable income-generating activities, such as small-scale farming, tailoring, and crafts. Through capacity-building workshops and access to resources, we help participants start and manage their own businesses. This project not only improves livelihoods but also fosters economic independence and resilience within the community. Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Programs: Our MHPSS programs, tailored for both children and adults, focus on reducing psychological distress and promoting mental health awareness. We provide group-based support sessions, one-on-one counseling, and community awareness campaigns to reduce stigma around mental health and encourage positive coping mechanisms. Community Advocacy and Child Protection: We have implemented several community-driven advocacy initiatives to raise awareness about child rights, gender-based violence, and the importance of education. By working with community leaders, local authorities, and youth groups, we ensure that our advocacy efforts are grounded in the realities of the communities we serve.
