The REEB MASIIBO Project, implemented by Social Care Development Organisation in Mogadishu in June 2025, focused on disaster management and emergency response for communities affected by floods and conflict-related crises. Funded by key stakeholders, the project provided emergency relief including food, water, and non-food items, established temporary shelters, and facilitated rapid needs assessments to prioritize vulnerable households. Community members received training on disaster preparedness, early warning systems, and response strategies to enhance resilience. Over 5,000 individuals benefited from timely interventions, reducing loss and promoting safety. The project strengthened local coordination mechanisms to ensure sustainable disaster risk management in Mogadishu.
