SRHR/SGBV

The “Back to Light” Project, implemented by Social Care Development Organisation in Dadaab Refugee Camp, focused on SRHR and SGBV education targeting girls who had dropped out of school due to early marriage, gender-based violence, or displacement. The project provided comprehensive counselling, mentorship, and psychosocial support to help girls overcome trauma and rebuild confidence. Safe learning spaces were established, enabling participants to resume formal education or vocational training. Awareness sessions on sexual and reproductive health rights, gender equality, and protection from violence empowered girls to make informed choices. Over 500 girls benefitted, regaining educational opportunities and personal agency.
