The SAAFI Project, implemented by Social Care Development Organisation in Dagahaley Refugee Camp from May 2024 to May 2025, focused on enhancing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services for vulnerable populations. The project provided clean water access through boreholes and water purification systems, constructed latrines and handwashing facilities, and conducted hygiene promotion campaigns in schools and households. Over 10,000 refugees benefited from safe water and improved sanitation, significantly reducing waterborne diseases. Local WASH committees were trained to ensure sustainability, promoting community ownership and long-term health improvements within the camp.
