WOPEDE, in partnership with COHERE through support from the Global Whole Being Fund (GWBF), is implementing a language training program targeting refugee women. The initiative was developed after identifying significant language barriers that limit women’s participation in social and economic life. Participants are receiving training in both English and Swahili, enabling them to communicate effectively, integrate better within the community, and engage confidently in their businesses. By gaining basic language proficiency, the women are improving their ability to serve clients, expand opportunities, and build stronger connections, thereby enhancing self-reliance and social cohesion.
