About Resilience Action International

Resilience Action International (RAI) is a refugee-led, non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya. RAI is dedicated to empowering refugee youths through integrated programs that promote economic development, reproductive health, and vocational education. Founded by refugee youths in 2010, RAI started as a self-help group with a mission to equip non-English-speaking refugees with language skills for better integration. Today, RAI's programs extend far beyond language training, focusing on improving the socio-economic prospects of refugee and marginalized communities. These programs include vocational education and training (VET) in digital skills, handcrafts, and entrepreneurship, with a strong emphasis on reproductive health advocacy and education, especially in humanitarian settings. By addressing the specific needs of displaced populations, RAI strives to create pathways to self-reliance and socio-economic integration of refugee youths into society.
