CAN carried out an awareness creation session in Imvepi Refugee Settlement at Zone 3 village 9 on the importance of Sexual Reproductive Health Services and how the teenagers can get access to this services. with a hug turn up, we managed to reach out 55 young teenage girls aged 14-24. Teenage pregnancy and early marriage are pressing issues affecting the well-being and future prospects of young people, particularly in rural and underserved communities. These challenges often stem from socio-cultural practices, lack of education, and limited access to sexual and reproductive health information, hence calling upon a join venture, partnerships and collaborations to tackle these issues at the local level, hence reduced cases of both early and teenage pregnancy.

CAN in partnership with Cord aid and SRHR Alliance conducted a dialogue on the impact of cultural and gender norms contributing to Teenage pregnancy and Early Marriage. this Dialogue was conducted with 80 decision makers in Zone three Imvepi Refugee settlement at Payawa church. the aim of the dialogue was to identify as well as create a commitment that will be undertaken by the stake holders in influencing policies as well as decisions at their desks in order to reduce the issues of Teenage pregnancy and Early Marriage.
